    About Us

Lodestar Children Services is an in-home and community based behavioral health services provider for children and teens, as well as their families. Lodestar is a non-profit agency that works to empower youth and their families by providing necessary tools to develop & improve their own system for supporting their needs, as they see & define them.

At Lodestar we believe the youth we serve have the right to have their needs supported from day one and should not feel forced into institutionalization, or other placement outside of the home. We believe in a strengths-based approach, where together, we come up with a treatment plan filled with goals to capitalize on their existing strengths. This allows our clients to recognize their value & believe in the person they are. Lodestar empowers youth from the comfort of their home & encourages them to engage in their community.

Lodestar works with youth & families through the NYS Office of Mental Health under the Children & Family Treatment Supports & Services (CFTSS) program & NYS Department of Health under the Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) array. We are a designated provider of these services in Suffolk, Nassau, Queens & Brooklyn.
